Welcome Rockers!

Today marked the first day of the Pendleton Rock and/or Roll camp. It's the camp's fourth year and is still going strong. For those of you returning, welcome back! It's going to be another great year! For you newbies, it's great to have you and don't worry, it's always noisy here. That ringing in your ears will go away and you may miss it after while.

Nothing is cooler than listening to live music. The drummers in the next room are playing some awesome music (hey, there's that little ringing again!!), the guitarists are also in their own room practicing. Bassists are in the ceramic's room playing "Enter Sandman" and discussing what songs they first learned, the vocalists are waiting for speakers so they can listen to a song on some one's cell phone and the horns, piano and keyboards are also working on a song. Anyone walking past the Center for the Arts, will wonder who left the stereo on full blast.

This week promises to be fun, high energy and above all LOUD. And that's okay, no one seems to care whether or not you have to yell at the person next to you for them to hear you. No one minds that their band has to play in a closet (which I have personally done). This week is dedicated to music and the musicians that are inspired here. So grab some ear plugs and your guitar, it's going to be an interesting week!
